Dr. Alexander Kasyoki Muoka is a dedicated statistician, researcher, lecturer, and disability rights advocate with
extensive experience in academia, research, data analysis, and community service. He holds a PhD in Statistics from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, a Master of Science in Applied Statistics; and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Kenya. Currently serving as a Researcher and Statistics Lecturer at Taita Taveta University, he has taught and supervised undergraduate and postgraduate research in diverse areas of statistics, data science, and quantitative research methods.
Dr. Muoka possesses strong expertise in data collection, statistical modeling, data mining, monitoring and evaluation, and advanced data analysis using tools such as SPSS, STATA, R, SAS, and Microsoft Excel. His research interests include econometrics, biostatistics, multivariate analysis, time series analysis, and measurement error modeling, with several publications in reputable international journals.
Beyond academia, Dr. Muoka is deeply committed to social transformation and inclusive development. He currently serves as a Board Member for Disability Advocacy and Services Kenya (DASK), where he participates in championing the rights, inclusion, empowerment, and welfare of persons with disabilities through advocacy, mentorship, and community engagement initiatives. His leadership reflects a strong passion for equity, accessibility, and creating opportunities for vulnerable and marginalized groups in society.
Known for his strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, teamwork, and commitment to excellence, Dr. Muoka continues to contribute to research, education, leadership, and humanitarian service both nationally and internationally.
