1.Health Systems Strengthening (Global Fund GC7 Grant)

  • Mapped & Validated: DASK was mapped by Amref Health Africa and validated as one of only 37 networks nationally to implement the Community Systems Strengthening (CSS) component under the GC7 TB Grant.
  • Current Role (ODSS): Due to reprioritization, we work under Amref (2nd Principal Recipient of the Global Fund) to implement Organizational Development and Systems Strengthening (ODSS) for our network and affiliate member organizations.
  • Community Led Monitoring (CLM): As a Sub-Recipient to CMMB (GC7 TB Grant), we deploy peer monitors using the i-monitor tool to track service delivery and accountability.

2.Inclusive Economic Empowerment

  • KCDF P4C Grant: We are actively implementing “Inclusive Economic Empowerment for Youth and Women with Disabilities” in Machakos County.

3. Sexual & Reproductive Health & Rights (SRHR)

We are actively engaged in promoting SRHR for women and girls with disabilities in Machakos and Nairobi, addressing issues of menstrual health, reproductive choices, and gender-based violence (GBV).

4. Rescue, Rehabilitation & Legal Advocacy

Through membership in Courts, Hospital, and Gender Committees, we work with community stakeholders to:

  • Rescue persons with severe disabilities from abusive or neglected environments.
  • Rehabilitate & Counsel survivors.
  • Advocate through our network of paralegals to help communities access justice the right way.

5. Education & Leadership

  • School Support: We provide school fees and facilitate placement & follow-up for children with disabilities.
  • Youth Governance: We train youth with disabilities in leadership and governance, preparing them for elective and appointive positions at county and national levels.

6. HIV, TB, Malaria & Inclusion

  • DASK is actively working in the HIV, TB, and Malaria space, championing the inclusion of PWDs in all conversations, from prevention campaigns to treatment adherence and policy tables.
